This is great news! The Gmail blog made the announcement this week that you can now track your tasks in your Google Calendar. The tasks feature was released as a Lab (an advanced feature) a few months ago. Now, in addition to being available in your email, your to do list can be integrated into your calendar(s).

OMG seriously, can Gapps get any better. This is just what I needed
Okay, I have google apps, and my email and calendar are through it. I’ve activated tasks from the email labs – but I can’t get the tasks to show in the calendar – is there somewhere else I need to go to turn on this feature??
- Love your blog!!
Thank you Jolyn!
You’re only a few steps away. Either in your mail or calendar function, click on the Tasks link. It will be on the left hand side as a text link. More likely than not, it will be close to the bottom.
When you go back to Calendar, click on the Tasks link and a window will pop up on the right hand screen. You can edit your tasks if necessary with a due date. Once you a due date, they will appear in your calendar.
Let me know if this helps!
Just to update – since I already had tasks activated before the update, it looked like I had to disable it, and then reactivate the tasks lab…and then I was good to go! Thanks Terrica! LOVE having tasks on my calendar now!
